The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) will be opening its CyberFirst student bursary and development scheme for applications from September 2018 but you can register your interest now.  The scheme aims to help, support and prepare undergraduates who are interested in a career in cyber security. During the years you study at university, you’ll receive a Bursary of £4,000 per year, tax free. Each summer, you'll have a paid work placement with NCSC, other parts of government, industry or bespoke training for which you will be paid £250 per week, for a minimum of 8 weeks.

NCSC is looking for motivated and committed individuals, from all backgrounds, who can demonstrate they have the aptitude to develop an understanding of computers, how they work and how to secure them.

To apply you must have a minimum of 2 years of full time study remaining from September 2019 and have (or expect to have) attained a minimum 2:1 equivalent at the end of academic year 2018/19.
